Many of these courses are no more than an easy drive from our villa - here are some brief details about some of the big names, including the world famous Champions' Gate course.

MAGNOLIA - Par 72 - 5,232 to 7,190 yards - An arduous test even for long hitters - recently facelifted, with elevated tees, rolling greens and 97 bunkers

PALM - Par 72 - 5,311 to 6,957 yards - Carved from woodlands, a great layout for both novices and more experienced golfers who want to stretch their legs while refining their short game

LAKE BUENA VISTA - Par 72 - 5,194 to 6,819 yards - A relatively short course with some real adventures - designed by noted architect Joe Lee

BONNET CREEK CLUB:

EAGLE PINES COURSE - Par 72 - 4,838 to 6,722 yards - Designed by Peter Dye, the course resembles a Scottish links. Blending into low-lying wetlands, it is deceptively open, while punishing errant shots with grass rough, sand and pine straw.
